An interesting article on the spread of government reforms on plastic waste management and reduction. The bill that has been introduced in the US, follows the line that the cost of controlling pollution should be the responsibility of the manufacturers who produce it.

The bill has plastic waste plans and goals in order to create statewide changes and therefore help reduce the negative impact plastic waste has upon the ocean and its well being. The article also mentions the plastic gyres in the world's oceans and draws attention to the worldwide effects single countries have upon our environment as a whole.
